We are a genuine boutique consultancy. We keep our firm small – able to do targeted work to help clients decode and drive their most important priorities. Our partners have all served in senior government roles – and they will be doing the work. Clients can count on us as a part of their extended team rather than as “just” outside consultants. We are a cost-effective, nimble, and attentive operation that will provide tailored advice and service rather than recycling across portfolios.

We love startups and the chance to build together. We are particularly interested in helping clients from outside DC to understand the churn in Washington and globally – and how to build up the support network to navigate it. Companies that are not necessarily part of the DC culture or are just in the process of considering a presence. We are interested in clients who are equally agile and scrappy and with the energy to help start something new and interesting.

We value flexible arrangements to build long-term trust. Potentially, for earlier stage or smaller businesses that are exciting to us, like many in the technology and artificial intelligence (AI) space, we would consider compensation that includes equity as opposed to simply a fee-for-service model – to align incentives, demonstrate in real terms our investment in our clients, and create residual income that allows us to remain affordable.

We are operators with deep regional expertise and perspectives. We know the Indo-Pacific, Middle East, Gulf States, and Europe. We are veterans of Capitol Hill, the White House, multiple national security agencies, as well as the private sector and international organizations. We have multiple frames to bring to bear, not just consultants who sit on the sidelines admiring the problems our clients face. That is what we have been delivering on the "inside" for decades.

We know and share deep ties at the state and city level and can help clients up their game in communities across the United States. Our relationships and past work in state government empower us to engage with meaningful leaders, associations, and grassroots voices in a number of key states with international focus and trade potential.
